“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas.”
A lovely thing about Christmas is that it’s compulsory, like a thunderstorm, and we all go through it together. Despite everything which happened around the world as of late, people could not wait for the Christmas season to arrive. The season of Christmas was celebrated in its true spirit by the Rotaract Club of Excellence, together with the entire Rotaract District.
The Holidays aren’t only about giving gifts as it’s the time to send Christmas cheers to the people you love. In that spirit, we the Rotaract club of Excellence took the initiative in organizing “Rotaract Celebrates Christmas”, where the entire Rotaract District participated and showed how they celebrated this Christmas despite all the barriers. This was indeed highly appreciated by the society itself and was followed by Non-Rotaractors as well. This project was mainly focused on the people who could not celebrate Christmas this year and we were able to put a smile on each and every individual through this initiative.

“‘’ Could it be more original than creating your own a bit of nice decor and cheerful attributes of the holiday will’’
Christmas always rustled. It rustled every time, mysteriously, with silver and gold paper and a rich abundance of shiny paper, decorating and hiding everything and giving a feeling of reckless extravagance. Yes, that’s right! DIY TIS CHRISTMAS.
An initiative which was brought by the Rotaract Club of Excellence in accordance to appreciate the hard work of all the Rotaractors and Non-Rotaractors. This was an eco-friendly Christmas handicraft competition. The participants were told to make Christmas handicrafts using recycled stationery. And the winner walked away with exclusive gifts from bakedbyJ.
On that note, the award for the MOST INNOVATIVE CHRISTMASSY HANDICRAFT was won by Miss Romalie Fonseka.

Here’s a few words from our winner, ‘’ First of all, I would like to thank the Rotaract club of excellence for organizing this great project and giving us a chance to showcase our talents and hard work. On a personal note, the gifts that I received were so yummy and you all can count me in for the future projects that your club is going to organize. Once again Thank you very much.’’
A very special thank you goes out to bakedbyJ for being a part of this project and also to the Club service team and all the Rotaractors and Non-Rotaractors for the support given throughout this initiative.
Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.
Thank You!
