Project A-Z

The Rotaract Movement is dedicated to developing young adults as leaders through the exchange of ideas, the development of knowledge and skills, and the engagement in friendship and service.

“Rotaract A-Z” is a collaborative effort between the Rotaract Club of Excellence, the Rotaract Club of Battaramulla, and the Rotaract Club of Panadura to educate all members about the Rotaract Movement. This virtual session, held on September 11th, 2021, aimed at providing club members with a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and objectives while contributing to this voluntary movement. In-depth discussions and knowledge shared by various club and district steering committee speakers paved the way for members to be educated on sustainable development goals, reporting procedures, avenue activities, and the overall societal impact of each and every project.

The session included club introductions, an overview of the Rotaract movement and the Rotaract district, and discussions of each avenue, as well as key projects completed over the years, providing members with a clear understanding and insight into the contribution of projects and community service. By sharing important aspects of values and practices that should be followed in order for club members and individuals to grow while contributing to the community in various ways.

Finally, a fun interactive game was hosted to create a closer bond between each club and its members. Overall, this project was able to link the respective clubs and develop long-term partnerships and ventures for the future while sharing the knowledge and purpose of the Rotaract Movement.
