The project initiative was taken in order to foster fellowship along with the hope of spreading Christmas joy. Club service avenue took the lead in organising this event by asking those who were interested to fill out a Google form as a method of collecting details about the participants along with their wish lists.
Once the forms were filled out, they were collected and the information was analysed. They used the “picker wheel” to draw names and pair up the 23 participants to create the secret gift list. Once paired, each participant was sent the wish list and the name of the participant for whom they would be the “Kris Kringle,” along with the relevant event details.
Each participant was then asked to bring their gifts and leave them anonymously near the Christmas tree at “The Central Perk,” where the event was being held. The exchange took place after all of the gifts had been kept.
Kris Kringle ’21 provided an opportunity for members to bond while also enjoying the warmth of Christmas as a season of spreading love, kindness, and joy.
